During your excursion with us, we will highlight the diverse wildlife and signs of their presence. In late winter, particularly around March, we often spot bear tracks in the snow as they emerge from hibernation.
You may also encounter reindeer, moose, and arctic foxes. If we're fortunate, we’ll point them out to you, and you might see their footprints on our forest trail.
During our husky team crossings, reindeer and moose are frequently observed near or on the frozen lakes and swamps and along the Torne River.
Our team will also discuss Lapland's changing climates and share insights into the Aurora Borealis and the captivating Midnight Sun of summer.
We are eager to share our knowledge of the Indigenous Sámi people and their rich history. On some tours, especially by vehicle, we visit the Sámi Cultural Centre and the oldest standing Sámi church in Lapland, dating back to 1607 / 1608.
